In the year gone by we cel­e­brat­ed our an­niver­sary with great rev­er­ence and im­mense plea­sure. A con­sid­er­able num­ber of em­ploy­ees as well as in­di­vid­u­al per­son­al­i­ties have per­formed great ser­vices that have be­come a part of this in­com­pa­ra­ble his­to­ry over more than 150 years. Being ahead of their time was the des­tiny of the watch­es de­signed by Max Bill in the 1950s and 1960s - in the in­ter­ven­ing years they have be­come im­por­tant and suc­cess­ful clas­sics. We are en­ter­ing into a sport­ing part­ner­ship with BOGN­ER GmbH & Co KG a.A. A dy­nam­ic me­chan­i­cal watch line has been de­vel­oped in close col­lab­o­ra­tion with the suc­cess­ful sports­man, film­mak­er and fash­ion de­sign­er, the driv­ing force be­hind which was Willy Bogn­er him­self. 2012 is ded­i­cat­ed en­tire­ly to the motto "Time for top-class sport­ing per­for­mances". Achiev­ing an ac­cu­ra­cy of with­in a frac­tion of a sec­ond was the chal­lenge faced by Jung­hans ex­act­ly 40 years ago. To com­mem­o­rate the 40th an­niver­sary of sports time­keep­ing in­au­gu­rat­ed at the Mu­nich Olympics in 1972, a spe­cial watch line is being in­tro­duced. With the 1972 model se­ries, we are re­call­ing the sport­ing
